About the Video
What a brilliant thing. Aleighcia Scott made it to number one with the first ever Welsh language reggae track on iTunes. She is an absolute delight to work with, and we were so proud to help bring this moment to life with her.
We created the video in just seven days, from first conversation to final delivery. An incredibly quick turnaround for a 4 minute, 14 second piece.
The process began with Happenin Studio putting together a visual deck to explain the creative approach and shots we had in mind. This gave Aleighcia space to feed back and helped us align on clothing options and filming locations early on.
Production
The film was made across two main days, one in the studio and one on location, with an extra day capturing B roll to weave through the edit. The props were all existing studio pieces, chosen for their flexibility and for reuse in future work.
Rooted in Welsh Culture
The final video includes subtle nods to Cardiff and Welsh heritage, with local landmarks and daffodils threaded into the visuals. It’s a quietly celebratory tribute to where she’s from, and the culture that shaped the song.
